Hi all - Access 2002XP - WinME
I am trying to set up a form from which I can view items of extended text.
The text is instructions, some short, some lengthy. I will have the headings
listed in a table, but, I don't know how I should set up the body of the
text to be read when the headings are selected in the filter form.
Example:
1. (Title-Header) Inspection of M23 Switches
Inspection Procedure Ref. SOP# MW-110.1
(Body of instructions)

I am wondering if I should leave these procedures in the Word document, and
call them from there, although, there will be more than one per document.
There for, I was going to number them by a set of specific numbers, i.e.,
SW1, SW2, etc. to represent each set of instructions in the document. But,
I'm not sure how this should be done to get the form set up properly. If I
were to put the instructions into the database, in which manner should the
be done? It is my understanding that a memo data type can only be used for
so many words, so that may not work for the longer texts. I have tried to
fined items or Help items that would address this issue, but, so far I have
not have much luck in dealing with the longer text items.
I would truly appreciate any suggestions or references. Not having done this
before, I am not sure where to start. I know the other comes before the
form, but, determining how/what I can do with the form will help me decide
how I need to put the information together and in which program.
Best regards,
Jan
