Hi ,
We have a requirement wherein we need to have more than 5 standard rates
available through cost rate tables. Is there a way to extend this? Please
provide some samples if any.

Prasanth,
You mean to tell us that you need more than 125 rates for a single
resource? Each resource can have up to 5 tables and each of those can
have up to 25 time based variable rates.
Normally pay rate changes are time based (i.e. annual increase -
typically salary resources, or periodic increases - typically hourly
resources). That's why the rate table is structured as it is. It
recognizes that any given resource might work at 5 different job levels,
each of which has a different pay rate. Then time phasing can be applied
to each of those.
If you do indeed have a very unique situation that requires more pay
rates per resource then here is a suggestion. Define those resources as
different entities. For example Joe-A, Joe-B, etc. Create as many
"parts" of Joe as you need to accommodate the pay rate structure. Assign
parts of Joe as appropriate for his tasks. You can use the grouping
function to get a grand total of Joe's costs for all his tasks.
Hope this helps.
