Okay, here's the Scenario:
I have a client who wants to be able to share Outlook Folders with the
others in his office. 3 or so people. They do not want to spend the
money for MS Exchange, nor do they have the expertise, however, they
need the capability. I have found a bunch of different programs on the
net that, for minimal cost, allow them to do this, however, here's the
rub:
The data they want to share is imported contacts from an old AS400
database. The key is the Comments List, which I have used MS Access to
concantenate and can import into Outlook under the Notes field. BUT,
for some reason the Notes will NOT synch with the client machines, only
with the Outlook that the data was imported into. I have noticed that
if I simply change the font of the Notes, the ALL of the softwares I
have used will correctly synch the Notes. I have tried exporting into
Outlook in every different format I could, but to no avail, changed the
font in the Excel/Access/CSV document in hopes that this would help,
NOPE. There are over 1300 contacts, each with about 40 lines of
Comments, so there is substantial data.
Questions:
Is there a way to change the IMPORT font used when importing into
Outlook? Is there another method that I haven't thought of? Has
anyone else run into this problem?
