External Data Retrieval trouble

I am trying to Get External Data in Excel from our system
database and after selecting the various elements of the
database I want on the screen & click finish, an error
message appears in a MS Query message box called C-ISAM
Error Code 2. The report does not appear as a result.

Can anyone tell me what has gone wrong?

You may need to install an ISAM driver, what is the system you are querying?
