external data/web query

Hi
Excel '97, Windows 2k SP2

Using Excel 2k, I set up a web query that downloaded my stocks & shares
info.
I didn't need the whole page so I configured it to retrieve only the tables
I needed.

Running it in Excel '97 it retrieves the whole page by default.
I tried editing the query but it said 'Web queries cannot be edited'

How can I overcome these problems

From what I recall, you can't. XL97's web query was rather basic.
