We are using Excel 2002 (910.6501.6735.SP3) to generate reports. There are
formulas within the spreadsheets that link to dbf files that are created by
running a query which pulls data from Paradox databases (Ex: TO_mn.db) on the
file server and creates an answer.dbf and a dates.dbf on the local pc's hard
drive. Somewhere along the line we began getting an occaisional "Unexpected
error found from external database driver(15877)" messages and the
spreadsheets will not update." It is happening all the time now and another
error message, "The Microsoft Jet database enginr could not find the object
'answer', Make sure the object exists and that you spell the path name
correctly." is showing up now.
On initial setup, we have to set up the BDE Administrator with the Databases
and the Configuration/drivers/native/ for it all to work.
It now does not seem to matter if it is a reformatted hd with a fresh
install of MS XP Pro, Office 2002 and WordPerfect office 2002, it will not
work.
We are unable now to use Excel 2002 or 2003 to run these reports. Any help
would be appreciated.
Thanks
