Hello,
I have a spreadsheet that links to about 22 other spreadsheets (one for each
day in the month). Upon completion of one month, eveything worked fine,
there was no lag or freeze. However, when the links were changed (to
correspond to the days of the new month), lag/freeze was introduced and the
size of the file increased greatly.
I decided to clear the contents on the tab to start over. So, I cleared the
contents, saved the spreadsheet and closed it. Oddly, even though there was
no longer any visible information on the tab (I had not even tried creating
any new links yet), the file size did not reduce, nor did the lag. My
endgame solution was to delete the entire tab and start over on a fresh tab.
This actually worked, size reduced, lag gone, even after creating links to
the new days.
Is there something behind the scenes that I have to clear out when changing
links? (some bizarre workbook-specific cache?)
Thanks,
David Stampor
