External linking

dear sir,
I am using project 2007.I want to link two different sheets.I want to make
activities of one sheet to be predecessor of another. so when I do to
tools,links between projects, it doesnt show any active option.How can I do
it.

You need to insert one sheet to another first (menu Insert/Project).

Do the following:

1. Open both of the project files.
2. Click Window - New Window.
3. In the New Window dialog, select both of the projects and then click the
OK button.

Microsoft Project creates a temporary master project, consisting of your two
projects as subprojects.

4. Expand the tasks in each of the subprojects.
5. Link tasks across projects as needed.
6. Click File - Close to close the temporary master project.
7. When prompted, click the No button to close the master project WITHOUT
saving it.
8. When prompted again, click the Yes to All button to save the changes to
each of the subprojects.
