External links in OWA prefixing internal address of mail server

Hi all-
We're using Exchange 2003sp2 on Server 2003sp1 Standard. My users use a
combination (based on personal preference) of Outlook 2003 and OWA through a
SharePoint My Site.
My problem is this:
When using OWA (through the SharePoint My Site or direct to the Exchange
server), if a user clicks a link in an email IE opens with the address
http://domain-es1/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://<some site> OR
https://domain-es1/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://<some site>.

The user then gets a 'Page cannot be found' 404 error.

We're not using SSL inside, but we do for external users.

If the user opens the link in the Outlook 2003 client it wrks as normal.

Any ideas?
