Hello all,
I'm using Project Server 2007 and have set up Project Web Access, along with
an External URL for PWA. My Internal PWA site (http://internal/pwa) works
great. The External PWA URL (https://pwa.external.org/pwa) works for the
most part, but has a few "quirks". I was wondering if someone could shed
some light on what's going on...
I can log into PWA via the external URL (https://pwa.external.org/pwa), and
can see the home page and the list of all workspaces. I can access all the
workspaces. So far, so good. But....
-- When I click on "Project Center", PWA shows a message that says "Project
Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view. It is most
likely that you either don't have permissions to view the project, another
user has deleted this project(s) before you were able to view it or that
another user is in the process of publishing the project." When I edit the
page, and look at the properties for teh Project Center Web Part, the Project
Web Access URL shows my internal PWA address (http://internal/pwa). I don't
want to change the URL here, as I'm pretty sure that would hose up my
Internal PWA page.
-- When I click on the "Resource Center", a similar thing happens (the msg
is slightly different, but same idea).
-- When I click on "Server Settings", "Manage Groups", I see all the groups,
no problem. BUT, if I click on a particular group, the URL changes to the
correct path, except it's using my internal URL (http://internal/pwa/...),
and says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to extend a second web application for PWA
for the external URL, and just change the web part settings for that seperate
application?
