External Resource Pool

Is it possible to extend (through development) Project Professional 2007 so
that it can use an external database with resources (instead of using Project
Server or Project Pro 2007 resources)?

You can use VBA to read Resource data from a database, but they have to be
imported for calculations. There would need to be more code to export data
back to the database after usage has been calculated in Project.
