extra decimal places when merging a currency field with 2 decimal.

I am mereging a currency field into a standard Word document and it is adding
extra digits after the 2 decimal places in the Access database table field.
Why would this happen? Is there any way to prevent it? Running Word 2000 and
Access 2000
