More than likely if it is an "office server" you have a specific WorkGroups
template location defined under "Tools", "Options", "File Locations" TAB.
For example, if I am pointed to a folder called "Templates", not only will
all of the templates in that folder show up on that TAB, but all of the
subfolders will show up as separate TABs. If you really do NOT want them
you can delete the templates (in which case the folder doesn't show up as a
TAB), or delete the folder that contains those templates. Of course you
could also point the WorkGroups template folder location to a separate
folder location that contains the templates that you use on a regular basis,
and ensure there aren't any subfolders under that folder with additional
templates in them. That way nothing else shows up.
Keep in mind that there is also a "User Templates" location setting that
still contains templates (and possibly subfolders with additional
templates). My guess is that this is where they really are.
I wouldn't recommend allowing anyone to delete any templates or folders
unless they are an Administrator for your network. remember, a little bit
of knowledge is a dangerous thing (God knows, I know that)! HA!
Holler back if this doesn't make sense!

Hello. I currently use Word 2000 here at work and all of our templates
are located on a drive that is located on our office server. In addition to
our own templates, there are extra tabs for document wizards provided by
Word. They include "memos", "legal pleadings", "publications", "reports",
"other documents". How can we either delete these or combine all of the
wizards into one folder or tab? Our template area is getting cluttered with
too many tabs and we never use these extra ones. Thank you for your help!
