Extra title bar in 2007

I have a user that gets an extra title bar above the real one about 80-90% of
the time. This bar has the old blocky look and the minimize, restore, and
close buttons move on to it. It appears above the bar that the office button
resides on, and when the user tries to use one of the three buttons I
mentioned above, the application locks up. If he then clicks on another
window, he can then go back to the Office app and use the Close option that
resides in the Office Orb to close the application.

We have several hundred machines that we have deployed 2007 to, and we only
have this problem with one machine (that I know of anyway). Any suggestions
would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Derrick

I'm not sure if this will help anyone else, but I think I found the problem.
We upgraded from Adobe 6 to 8 at about the same time as we upgraded from
Office 2003 to 2007. We found some incompatibilities between Adobe 6 and
Office 2007, and Adobe even left a few files behind when we uninstalled it.
I found a few files on the system that fit into this situation, and after
deleting them it seemed to fix the issue. The main way I realized this might
be happening is that the first Office app opened would have the problem, but
every Office app after that opened without the bar above.
Thanks again for the suggestion,
Derrick

Thanks for posting back with your discovery. We've noticed that Adobe
can inflict it's share of grief too. ;-)

I am experiencing the same problem as Derrick (oct, 27 2008): Having an extra title bar on office applications most of the times. It happens on a freshly installed system.
Derrick says in his post (from 2008) that he deleted some files to fix the issue, but didn't mention which files. Anybody who knows which files to delete?
