Extra unwanted white space between repeating tables/sections

I have a form that has 4 sections on lower part of a form, one on top
of the other, The sections display based on the contents of a
dropdown field above using the Filter.

At somepoint during development, I did something to create a lot of
white space between the 3rd and 4th section and the white space does
not show in the design mode.

In other words, some characters got in there somehow that creates a
huge blank area between sections and I cannot find anything in the
design mode that shows how/why this white space is createed with the
populated form is displayed.

This is all done within Infopath, The files are on Sharepoint.

Does anyone know how to help figure this out. Thanks.

You can try opening the .XSN as a cab file (rename the .XSN to .CAB).

When you crack it open look at view.xsl, you should use a tool that shows
formatting characters.

Once found you will need to recab the file and change the extension back to
..XSN.

Can you give me a bit more help with that.
I have done as you say but I am really struggling to interpret the xml.
Can you recommend a tool "that shows formatting characters"
Thanks

If you use Visual Studio you can turn on the "View White Space." This option
will show you tabs and space however it will not show you new line and
carriage returns.

This may be enough for you to see what is going wrong.
