Extract project information from Project Server

Hi,


I want to extract project information from Project Server. I know it can be
done by going directly into the database, but is there an interface that is
better to use.

Also I might also want to create projects in an external system that
afterwards automatically is created in Project Server. Is the only way here
inserting rows directly in the database?
