Extracting Data from Excel

Hi,

Is it possible to use excel like a CRM software?
Currently i am using excel to store my customer list, requests and
enqueries.
I would like to extract data from those information such as by company,
location, and status.

What would be the best way to implement this? Is there any guide to do this?

You will probably be better off using Accsss, but you could do a lot of it
in Excel The nice part about Access is how easy it is to limit users to
only certain information/functions. I would also suggest using ODBC to
populate your tables as opposed to importing them all of the time or manual
entry. Most accounting software packages allow for this. If you are going
to use Excel, get to know PivotTables.
