Hi really hope someone can help

I have been sent a Word documents 250 pages long and which contains
addresses. I need to get these into either Excel or Access.

Each address is 4 lines and there is 2 or 3 line feeds between each address.

Is there anyway I can extra this data into and Excel worksheet or Access
table?

Very many thanks

Sorry probably didn't make myself clear.

What I want to do is to bring each address onto a single row in Excel or
Record in Access, so that we can manipulate the data. Cut and Paste put an
address on 4 rows of column A

Hi Alex,

In Word, assuming your 'line feeds between each address' are really paragraph breaks, do a wild-card Find/Replace, with:
Find = (^13{2})^13{1,}
Replace = \1
This ensures there's just a single paragraph between each address. Then select the whole document can convert it to a 5-column table
(Table|Convert|Text to table).

You should now be able to select the first four columns of your table and paste it into Excel.

After you have the address in 4 rows, it should be pretty easy to
record an Excel macro to move the data in the last three rows to
individual cells on the first row
