Extracting embedded file names in WORD?

How does one extract the original file name of a file that has been embedded
in WORD? I am having difficulty extracting the original file name and the
convert/edit option does not help in this regard; however the original file
name appears in the main document. Seems that this should be extractable.
Suggestions?

Hi Ron,

Provided the embedded objects are linked to the source (and, if they're OLE objects, are formatted as 'in-line with text'), you can
see the original filenames by toggling the field code display via Alt-F9. If the object are floating (eg formatted as square),
re-formatting them as 'in-line with text' will allow you to see their source file details also.
