Metal Jason,

See this transparency tutorial for how to remove the white background on your logo...
http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com/powerpointgraphics.htm

You might want to use another format other than JPG. Why?

- Because you cannot have something called an "alpha channel" with a jpg file
- You cannot use powerpoints picture toolbar to make one color transparent...and the jpg is likely to have lots of
shades of 'white' that are all very similar

There isn't one. That explains why it's so elusive. ;-)

Click the image to select it.
Ctrl+Click and choose Show Picture Toolbar if it's not already visible.
Use the Set Transparent Color tool on the picture toolbar to click a pixel in
the image that's the color you want to make transparent.
