F1 not loading ADODB help file

J

John Henry

I have referenced the Microsoft ActiveX Data Object 2.8 Library in Microsoft
Word. It is very
annoying not being able to press F1 to find help on any of the ADODB
objects. Does any one know how to set the help file up?

TIA,
John

I've found it easier to simply put a shortcut on my desktop to the various
Help files that I reference most often: ADO, DAO and JetSQL. On my Office XP
machine these Help files are in:
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Office10\1033"
(your mileage may vary). This way I can quickly get to what I know I need
rather than trying to convince the (very often, very obtuse) app to take me
there.

HTH,
