F4 Repeat Action -- not fully functional in Office 2007

Tim

My employer recently installed Office 2007 on our computers.

With Office 2003 I was able to use the F4 key to Repeat An Action, like
re-sizing a picture/image in Word. I can no longer use the F4 function to
repeat the action of re-sizing multiple images.

What can I do to restore full F4 functionality?

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

This isn't a problem with the F4 key functionality. There is a new graphics
engine, only partially implemented, in Word 2007, (it is improved in 2010)
and the changes you see are related to the fact that different processing is
taking place in Word, resulting in some slightly different behaviour. It
sounds like you are just unfortunate in that your particular way of working
has been changed.

Tony,

THANK YOU very much for taking the time to respond with that enlightening
information!

I will have to adjust to not using that shortcut anymore :)

[ ... somewhat like getting into heaven -- there are no shortcuts -- only
one way. ]

For what it's worth, similar bugs exist in other areas of the application.
For example, you cannot use F4 to repeat options set in the Table Properties
dialog box.

Though that's been the case since Table Properties were introduced in Word
2000.

Indeed. A bad sign, I'd say.
