facing different behaviour in the addition of resources into resource sheet.

Hi,

I am facing a problem which is conceren with RBS.

I have implemented EPM before one year and now it is fully working in my
company and I am EPM Engineer there.
but when the project manager open the project in project professional and
want to put the resource into resource sheet from project server by clicking
the link

"Add Resource from Project Server" The Dialog box is opened in which on the
left pane the project manager only can see his dept resources . but their
dept employees are not showing there .
and if I go and Manage Security and in the category of that manager (there
is already selected option 1 and 2 )

(1) Allow users in this category to view their own information.
(2) Allow users in this category to view information for all resources in
projects that they manage.
(3) Allow Users in this category to view information for all resources that
they manage.
(4) Allow Users in this category to view information for all resources that
they manage directly.

but the manager cant see the new resource which newly add into resource pool
.. but when the manager select the option 3 from above he can show all
resources of whole enterprise including his dept .

until and unless he add his the new user into his category RESOURCES Section
from the left box into right box then the new user will show into his
project dialog box for addition into resource sheet of his project.

Pls reply me soon and tell me the correct problem.

If you are using RBS to control Project Server security, then you need to
select the third option in the Resources section of the My Project category.
This allows each project manager to see the resources below him/her in the
RBS structure. Depending on exactly WHERE you placed each project manager
in the RBS structure determines exactly WHICH resources he/she can see.
