faded header and footer images

Hi

Is there ant way of preventing Word from fading the contents of the header
and footer when viewing the document in page layout mode?

Hi Gob

In short no! Word always greys out the part of the document that's not
available for editing at that time. So when you edit headers/footers Word
greys out the documents body text.
