Faded images in headers, print preview

PitM

Is there a way to make images in headers to look normal and not faded out in
print preview? I know that the images wil appear normal when printed, but why
they look different in print preview? This happens in word 2007 only, not in
word previous versions.

Hi PitM,

Word 2007 is no different in its display of header/footer content than previous versions. The reason header/footer content is
displayed with a faded look is to alert you to the fact it's not in the body of the document.

But Print Preview should show the document the way it will print.
Unfortunately, some wrapped objects in the header will still appear dimmed
in Print Preview even though they will print normally. This is true in
previous versions as well.

In word 2003, if you insert the same image in header and in main document and
then go to print preview, both images will look normal just as they will
print. But in word 2007, in print preview, the image in header will look
washed out, even if it is going to print normal as well. why is there such
difference in print preview in word 2003 and 2007? How can i adjust settings
in word 2007 to be like word 2003 at least for print preview?

As noted, this is true of *wrapped* graphics even in Word 2003.

I don't know the meaning of the term "wrapped", but simple images in headers,
in word 2003 in print preview, look normal, while in word 2007, they look
faded. This is the difference I'm talking about.

"Wrapped" means with any text wrapping style other than In Line With Text.
It may be that it is only one type of wrapping or one type of image (one
file format), but I have definitely seen this in Word 2003.
