Hi -
Have a client that has 24 hour use of their Project Server
environement, but only has support in one 8 hour window. The MS
Project Server docs describe fail over for View Processing and Session
Management by using a standby server that would have to be manually
reconfigured should the live one go down. The client I am working with
would like automatic fail over should the server go down out of the
support window. My questions are as follows:
1) Can View Processing and Session Management be configured to
automically be failed over to a standby server? The MS docs only speak
of a stanby server that has to be manually failed over.
2) If the View Processing and Session Management services cannot be
setup for automatic fail over, could you alternatively configure a NLB
front end server to point to more than one View Processing and Session
Management service?
The MS docs are a bit vague in these areas. Any feed back
apprecitated.
Regards,
David
