Failed auto update retrieval of third-party root list sequence num

This is an error message that has been turning up irregularly in the last few
weeks, but I just got a set of eight in a row, which seems to indicate more
of a problem than I initially anticipated. Following the link at the bottom
of the message directs me to a page at MS, which apologises for the fact that
there is no additional information. I would obviously rather not be getting
the messages, so does anyone have any ideas?

Hi John,

Your error has to do with accessing the sequence number for the Update
Root Certificates Component for Windows Update web site and has nothing
to do with a Project Server error.
