I have asked this question previously in 06 and had a not very satisfactory
response, my thread does not appear to exist any more so here goes again.
My Sony laptop came with Works 7 and I bought Office 2000 Premium upgrade CD
set from same store as laptop, this all loaded correctly. I did a clean OS
install couple of years ago and managed after some tries to get the 2000
Premium to recognise Works and install correctly. Now have done another OS
install and 2000 Premium upgrade will not recognise the installed Works and
comes up with Failed Compliance Check.
Think my original response was that it will not upgrade as the Works version
is ahead of the Office – how did it work previously? Machine I am attempting
to reload is original one.
