failed install for Security Update for PowerPoint 2003 (KB916518)

Some Days I prefer Linux

When trying to install latest patches for MS Office Professional Edition 2003
all patches fail. I try to install one patch at a time and it fails. I am not
prompted for a CD to verify version. Even though, the CD is sitting in the
caddy. I reboot and retry with and it fails. The is 7 Gig of free disk space.
The patches down load and try to install, but fail. The fail patches have
sent reports back to the mother ship. The Registry is never cleaned.
Please advise.
