Hi folks. My problem is this: I bought an MS office 2007 suite to load on
my desktop with XP pro. Loaded disk 1 just fine (all programs including
Outlook 2007). When I moved to disk 2, the accounting apps loaded fine but
BCM install failed within 5 seconds--no error message.
I had previously uninstalled all of the previous office suite. I've checked
SQL server 2005--no problems. After much playing around, I decided to try
loading everything onto my laptop, which has Vista. It, including BCM,
loaded without a hitch. I de-installed the whole thing because my target is
the XP computer.
From what I can see, somehow BCM detects the desktop as part of a local area
group on my home LAN. (The laptop connects to the LAN via Wi Fi and is not
part of that group.) Microsoft BCM troubleshooting page says I need support
at this point.
Question: is there a particular setting or setup to stop this install
dropout?
