FAILED !?$# office 2007 beta 2 update

Yes all spyware and virus protection was off
After installling the "refresh" i have lost all ability to install,
re-install, any version of office! I tried the little help me's on the
download page, now what? I am surprised more peple are not complaining. I can
NOT send email or look up contacts or appointments

By the way, when you tried loading the B2TR, did you happen to notice on the EULA point number 1?

So I presume you will be restoring an image taken from before the beta installation? Or a reformat since this is obviously not a production machine?

So I presume you will be restoring an image taken from before the beta installation? Or a reformat since this is obviously not a production machine?

Error messages? Error codes? Upgrade or clean install? Operating system and SP level?

I previously stated that after applying the office 2007 beta 2 refresh,
outlook 2007 and all other office programs, excel, powerpoint all 2007 wiil
not run.

even after reinstalling after cleaning all temp files

i run winxp prosp2 on a compaq amd athlon 3500+ i gig ram 100 gig hd, 65% free

is that better?

it is the problem everyone is getting after installing the tech refreash,
message "Insufficient Disc Space". install failed, please reinstall. other
people have been complaining on here but no one is responding to them either
with help

At last, a real error message!

You need at least 2 gigs free on the C: drive to install. If you don't have that much free space for the setup and installation temp files - they are mostly deleted once the intallation is complete.

As for support, the beta clearly states that this is unsupported - period. News groups are your only venue for support unless you are in the technical beta.

From Ghislain: this 28 Sept, I got just the same dramatic situation: read my
message:

HELP!

Since one month, I use Office 2007 bêta with many satisfactions. Yesterday I
downloaded and installed B2TR.
All the applications on Office 2007 (including Project, OneNote, ...) were
immediately out. And I have no more Outlook, nor Word, ...
Specially the menus are distroyed (icons replaced by texts, no
correspondance icon/action, ...). No possibility to launch correctly the
applications. Definitively out.
I tried all the night to clean and to remove Office 2007 (by its removing
function) and to reinstall it.
But it doesn't reinstall the basic bêta version but only the B2TR version
with all the same problems.
Question: where are installed the specific B2TR files? How to remove them?

Well Peter.
I am afraid that Microsoft did a mistake with this B2TR!
It is a pitty that we don't receive informations from experts of Microsoft
to explain the situation. Questions like "was your HDD not full" doesn't seem
to be very relevant.
To solve the things, I reinstall my HDD from the full backup I lucky did
before installation of OFFICE 2007. Then I reinstall OFFICE 2007, (but
certainly never more the B2TR!). And my PC reworks perfectly.
