Failed to build the OLAP cubes

Anyone has any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it? Thanks!


[9/7/2007 12:22 AM] Failed to build the OLAP cubes. Error: Analysis Services
session failed with the following error: Failed to process the Analysis
Services database Rincon_ProjectServerCube on the SEVENSEAS server. Error:
Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The linked measure group with the ID of
'EPM Timesheet', Name of 'EPM Timesheet' cannot be processed because it
contains MG dimension with the ID of 'Task Is Overallocated', Name of 'Task
Is Overallocated' with different granularity attribute than its source
object.

Dear Michael

The same problem was face by me a month ago and the major problem was OLAP
server failed when build the cube due to not supported by databse server.
The only solution which I did is that please shut down the databse server &
cube server and re-start them. After doing so manually build each cube by
Analysis manager and then build it by PWA .

I think it will help you.
