Failed to create sample data - Configuration Wizard Error

I'm trying to install the Project Server 2007 trial on my WSS 3.0 test
server, and am receiving the following error during step 9 of the
configuration (creating sample data):

"Failed to create sample data.

An exception of type System.UnauthorizedAccessException was thrown.
Additional exception information: Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT:
0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

I have reviewed the application event logs, and the configuration log file,
but can't seem to figure out the issue.

I'm sure I'm missing something completely obvious. Any help is much
appreciated. If there is anything in particular I can include to help narrow
down the problem. please let me know.

Do I need to do the Project Server 2007 install on a separate server from the
WSS 3.0 server?

I am receiving the same error......The funny thing is that when I first
installed Project Server, it worked. Then one day, it just stopped working
and I was forced to reinstall. Now, I cannot get past this error.

Any ideas?

You're getting the error cause you're not a site collection admin on one of the sites in the farm.
