Failed to start Outlook

R

Rick

It was my first time trying to start the program.

I clicked on the icon, and Outlook asked if I wanted to have it synchronized
with web-based email or group email. I selected the second option, but then
pressed cancel on the pop-up.

After all these I attempt to start Outlook again, but it asked me for a MS
Office 2000 CD-ROM. Because my office is an OEM one, I do not have any
CD-ROM.

Any idea?

I think you mean, Internet Mail Only or Corporate/Workgroup mode....

Just because it's OEM doesn't necessarily mean you don't have a CD. If you
don't have a CD, you may have been given an installation image by the
hardware manufacturer, perhaps in another partition on your hard drive. If
not, any chance you can find someone who has a copy of Office 2000 from whom
you can borrow a CD? Note that the version would need to match (i.e., if you
have Professional, the CD needs to be Office 2000 Professional, etc).

Apart from that, all I can suggest is trying to go to control panel, mail,
to see if you have a mail icon in there you can open & modify. Someone else
in here may be able to provide more help. Good luck.
