Failed Update -- No Disc

We just installed Office 2003 Standard from a volume
license (it's a new computer, and we had been using the
pre-installed, 60-day trial version). There was no
problem with the installation, but when we went to Office
Update, it kept saying it was looking for the original
Office 2003 disc. We kept putting it in the CD-Rom drive
and pressing OK, but it kept asking the same question.
The disc and disc drive are obviously OK because we had
just used both to do the installation. Any ideas why it
wouldn't recognize the CD it was asking for?
