Hey,

I've used the 2007 beta and yesterday downloaded the updated beta.

I'm unable to install the new beta because the old one stilll exist.

When I try to unintsall the old beta I get this message:

"The language of this installation package is not supported by your system"

I changed my settings to english, but with no results.

At the meantime - I can not use any of the betas.

Any idea?

thanks

Which beta version had you been using previously? Which one did you
download and tried to install?
Where did you download it from?

I downloaded both from microsoft site.

The new one wich I can't yet install - is the one that was avialable for
downloading yesterday (when I try to install it I get a message that I need
to first uninstall the exisitng one).

The existing one - I'm unable to open it hence don't know which version - I
downloaded it about a month or two back (and enjoyed using it since). The
error message I get when I try to open the existing one indicates that the
version is:

12.0.3820.1002

No updated beta version has been posted, so you essentially downloaded
the same version that you already have installed.
What is the error message that you receive when you try to open your
existing one?

Patrick,

The beta I installed about a month or two ago - both at home and at work
seemed to end - there was a message when I opened it. I installed what seems
to be a newer one - at work - no problems.

At home - I described in previous e-mails.

While I was trying to uninstall the existing one at home, the procedure was
interrupted and I had to restart.

When I now try to load the existing one I get this message:

~Microsoft office onenote has encountered a problem and needs to close...the
informateion you were workin on might be lost...~

I am sure you know that the problem I have with uninstalling - language
package - and so forth - was already mentioned over the internet by other
users - i just dont seem to find out how to overcome it.

any clue?

thanks
