Mr. K
I am running on Windows XP Pro. I have office 2003 on the computer with the
issue. Currently word will not start up for any reason, only on one user. If
I log on as Admin, or another user it will work just fine. It is the main
user of the PC, which word is not working for.
What happens is when you try to open word. I get an error saying "Microsoft
office word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for
the inconvenience. Gives me an option to try to recover my work and restart
word. If I do this option I still get the error over and over again.
The error signature is:
AppName: Winword.exe
AppVer: 11.0.5604.0
AppStamp: 3f314a2f
ModName:mso.dll
ModVer: 11.0.506.0
ModStamp: 3f334cce
fDebug:0
Offset: 0002a046
I have done everything I can think of. I have removed normal.dot (and all
instances of it) file in hopes that that would resolve the issue. It has not.
So I went to the next step and tried to delete the data registry keys and
that has not worked. I tried to delete Application Data files for his
specific user and had office and word replacing them when it starts up. That
did not work.
I am starting to run out of options if there is anything that you can think
of that I could try to get Word to work. I would be grateful.
Thank you in advance.
