I've had problems for some time trying to send email from within applications
like Word and Excel. I also have a Send To option in Word that is grayed
out, specifically the option for Mail Recipient. I first assumed the problem
was in Word, however, I am also getting failures in Excel so I'm starting to
suspect an eMail problem.
I run Office 2003 on XP all with current SP levels.
The Word failure is a MAPI failure "unspecified error" when trying to Send
To>Mail Recipient (as attachment). In Excel tried the same thing and got a
General Mail Failure with instructions to restart mail and Excel. Outlook is
active when the failures occur.
My priority is to get Word File>Send To>Mail Recipient working.
I saw a post in the General section on problems when Norton Anti-Virus is
installed, which is the case on my machine, but the thread didn't get to a
resolution.
Any ideas?
Thanks
