False error -17099

5.1.2 email address. 20sm613553wfi.11
Mail could not be sent.
Error: -17099

Every message I send brings up this error. The long code on the first line always changes.

Weird thing is that the messages are going out and being received at the other end.

The account is IMAP to Google Apps. Here are a few things I tried with no effect:
1. I disabled POP on the account
2. Unchecked "communicate simultaneously with server."
3. Repaired permissions with Disk Utility.
4. Quit/restarted Entourage after each of the above.

Please help.
