False error messages in Outlook when opening web links

Each time I select a web link in a received message, I get the error message,
"General failure. xxxxxxx (the URL referred to in the message). The system
cannot find the file specified".

However, the browser always opens and the link is successfully downloaded.
Why does this error message appear when there is no problem finding and
opening the URLs? How can I get rid of this false error message?
