faq suggestions and feedback

David, I have found most of what you have on your original FAQ is very
useful. Perhaps one way it could be improved is to organize or group the
FAQs somehow under the appropriate version of Publisher if that FAQ is
version specific. Perhaps groupings of General FAQs, Pub 2000, Pub 2002,
Pub2003 or some such.

You often have more information on your site about issues you cover
generally in your FAQs. Is it possible to have links, opening in new
windows, for additional or related information, within your general answers?
Given the wealth and breadth of information on your site, one of the biggest
challenges is organizing it in such a way as to help find the information.
Any and all cross referencing would be helpful.

David, you undeservingly get dumped on occasionally while trying to defend
or at least explain decisions and directions MS takes that are beyond your
control. Your website is excellent and you do an exceptional job here as a
MVP and do not get nearly the credit your deserve. Thank you for all your
hard work.

I expect to get the items from the old one to the new one but to start off
the new one I felt it appropraite to discuss the topics that have been most
frequently asked recently. And some of the original ones are a little
out-dated and need review. I've grappled with organizing it differently
since the creation of the original but have not found a suitable solution. I
wouldn't rule it out once I get the new one more completed though. It's just
that I find the highest topics aren't version specific.

That will be done. I just need to get the content over before it can be
cross-linked. I decided to start the faq first rather than the broader
content. So at this time I have nothing available to cross-link. It's
planned though.

Your website is an excellent resource, #1 on my Publisher Bookmarks.

You shouldn't fret about the organization of it, it's fine. Content is
always more important. and since it's quite useable now I would focus on
good information before a slick interface.

Anyone who can't spend the time to find what they are looking for is just a
bit lazy.

PS-As for people whinning about your "support" for MS, it's a moot point.
Anyone who uses software and bitches about it should get another package and
bitch about Adobe,...etc.
