far distance mtgs appear in Reminders set for 15 mins.

I have regular staff meetings set for the year, and I have Reminders set for
15 minutes before the event. My Reminders window is showing meetings that
are 4 and 16 weeks away. No one else in my group seems to be having this
issue. How do I get Reminders to show just the appointments that are coming
up within 15 minutes?

I have Office 2003 and Windows XP.
