Faster way to attach hyperlinks

I have hundreds of links to pictures to make in a spreadsheet. For each

one, I have to define the path, and also to change the File Types to
"All files" in order for the pics to show up for me to select. This
is a pain.

Isn't there a way to change some defaults so that I can speed through
this better?

I tried using some VBA coding, but it doesn't seem to work.
If I could at least change the defaults, it will go faster.
