My computer is a apple G5 and i am using entourage 2004 for mac as my
mail program. Lately I have several emails returned to me with the
following message. Yet, when i send the same emails through apple's
mail program the mail goes through without a hitch. Any ideas on what
is happening? Here is the message:

Try changing the SMTP for the account to your ISP account info. I've not
seen this before but it appears that the mail is seen as being "relayed"
thus it is blackholed.

Diane,
Thank you for replying. I dont know if what you suggest would work for
me since my ISP is time warner and I dont use their mail, instead i use
..mac for my mail. Also, i failed to include that it is only mail to my
best friend that this is happening to.

You don't have to use their mail to use the SMTP info.

Diane,

I didnt know i could change the smtp information. Thank you for the
information. I did change the smtp to that of my provider but still can
not send email to that one specific person. In the text of the error
message it did give me the option of clicking on a link to request they
remove me from their spam list. I did this, so we will see what
happens.

Thank you for your help

When you don't use your ISP for SMTP this indicates relaying and many
providers will block this type of email to stop spam.
