Fatal Error

Hi all
I'm posting this in this section as I dont know where really it should go.
I have two Access 2003 applications running daily on a mixture of XP & Win2K
boxes. They are both set to compact on close. Every Day on closure on some
of the XP boxes Access fails with a general error (at this stage the
application is compressed, its Access itself has the problem). I follow the
option of reporting it. This has been going on now for over a year, no reply
from Microsoft which presumably means not too many others have this problem?

Any ideas?

1. Turn off compact on close. I've had it corrupt databases. Manually compact
and repair when needed.

2. Make sure that all the computers have the latest service packs and
updates installed.

Thank you. Yes, latest Service Packs & Updates are automatically installed
daily. I'll try that - problem is with one of the apps (Point Of Sale) - it
needs to be compacted daily or it gets out of hand and the automatic compact
is the logical answer to this (or should be anyway )
