Fault module in outllib.dll

I'm using Outlook 2002 SP3 with an Exchange server. OS is WinXP, SP1. Yesterday, when I clicked on my Tasks folder, I received a message that Outlook had encountered an error and needed to close. But as far as I could see, it stayed open anyway.

I've 1/ rebooted 2/ upgraded from SP1 to SP3 which cured the problem for a couple of hours--then it returned and 3/ "repaired" my installation of Office. I have not yet removed and reinstalled the entire installation.

The essentials of the event viewer messages that I see are a fault in Outlook v10.0.6626.0, module Outllib.dll at address 0x0003aaadf.
