I just upgraded 500+ machines at work with Office XP
Service Pack 2. All of these machines run Windows 2000
Service Pack 4. Now about 10 - 15 of these machines are
getting an error when they try to save a workbook (not
the same workbook). The error is:
Faulting application excel.exe, version 10.0.4302.0,
faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.0.2195.6685, fault
address 0x00007131.
I have seen the recommended fixes for this posted out
here but nothing works. I have reinstalled Office I have
reinstalled Windows Service Pack 4 (which this ntdll.dll
comes from). I have checked add-ins (not everyone is
using add-ins). I have checked macros (not all the
faulting workbooks use macros). I have looked for *.xlb
files. I have checked XLStart.
Is there anything else I could try?
Thanks ...
