I have a user running Access 2002 on a terminal server
running Windows 2003 that is persistently unable to open
an existing database or create a new database although
all other users on the terminal server are functioning
normally in Access using the same existing database.
User error message: Microsoft Access has encountered a
problem and needs to close.
Event log error message: faulting module msaccess.exe,
version 10.0.4302.0, fault address 0x00209bbe.
Work-arounds:
* Creating a new profile for the user will restore full
functionality in Access to the user (this was my original
solution to the problem, but 2 weeks later it has risen
again)
* The problem seems to go away if Access is started in
safe mode for that user
* The problem seems to go away if the user is removed
from the group policy.
