Favorites Folder

Hello All!! Recently my organization upgraded from Office XP to Office
2003. Apparently in XP the favorites folder was part of the open and Save
As dialog and you were able to save a link to your files to your favorites.
In office 2003 the Favorites folder had to be added to the open and Save As
dialog, but apparently it is not letting the user add the link to the file
in the favorites. We tried using Windows Explorer to create the a link to
the file in the favorites folder but instead of a link to the file it only
creates a link to the folder.

Is there anyway to work around this an save a link to the file in Favorites
(preferably from with in Word or Excel Dialog).

thanks

On the Save As dialog box, is there a Tools dropdown button on the top of
the dialog window?
There use to be an option to Add to Favorites there.

What buttons appear on the left part of the window. Does Favorites? If
not, you can add Favorites as one of the default folders.
