in terms of long documents and formatting them, probably CRTL-Space
(ResetChar) and CTRL-Q (ResetPara). These strip out direct formatting in
selected paragraphs.
I always maintain that the most useful keyboard shortcuts in any version of
Word (after F1) are Ctrl+Z (Undo) and F4 (repeat). I also use Ctrl+C and
Ctrl+V a lot.
